Mt. Olympus Ski Club – Addition Under Construction
Spent last weekend giving a hand with the construction of the new addition to the ski club at Mt. Olympus, which will be the new reception of the facility. You can make out the dipped entrance in the concrete floor where people will be knocking the snow off their boots; it’s a very nice touch. Such an amazing site hidden away high up above the clouds in the south end of the internationally-recognised Craigieburn range. Absolute stunning views with quite a spectacular drive up along the shingle access road. Coincidentally, the New Zealand Air Force were taking part in a training maneuver while I was there; it was pretty impressive seeing a chopper navigate through and around the mountain range. Should be back there soon to bask in the beautiful surroundings, give further help with the build and maybe enjoy one or two brews in the evening with great company.
